Younger generation don"t want to risk their lives and possessions, esp. Younger generation has a mentality that if they help, they will loose part of themselves. He also looks guilty when police pulls him away from the drowned refugees. Fisherman that accused the others that fish used to be abundant and now it"s just dead fish with black faces; derogatory. Giuletta really fears for her family"s safety when they take in the refugee. Her fear also sides with the refugee. Filippo struggles with wanting to help or staying safe. Gets conflicting messages from giuletta, maura, ernesto, and nino about.
