Rna 3d template will use +ssrna as template to generate -ssrna, which serve as a template to make more +ssrna , which function as a mrna and template again-> cycle continues. Start ~1h post infection and continue about 4-5h post infection. On the structure, we called ri structure (replicative intermediate) several (~6-7) nascent: product in various stages of being completed. Occur in cytoplasm in association with membrane structure. Template is 3" to 5" -> product is 5" to 3" 3b will be the new primer to produce product (vpg protein) The g is complimentary to poly a tail on 3" end. 3d protein extends from the 3" end to make rna. In infected cell, there is 40x more +ssrna made than -ssrna. Ssrna only used as a template to make +ssrna.
