Governments play an important role water provision. National governments provide financing, technology, and tax incentives, and local governments implement projects. Are essential partners for international groups who wish to help improve water quality and quantity. The national governments of industrialized nations provide aid to assist in such projects. Non-governmental organizations (ngos) provide local, on-sight research, project implementation and oversight, advocacy, and coordination. Some ngos are indigenous meaning they were established and are staffed locally using local resources. These can be linked to professions or religious organizations or efforts to fight a particular disease. International ngos provide funding and expertise and help publicize larger issues. Yet another kind of ngo is the multi-lateral agency. Multi-lateral means belonging to several nations, such as the united nations. They engage in data gathering and sponsoring studies, and provide financing and expertise for projects. Private sector actors include multi-national corporations (veolia, general electric,
