Document Summary
Lecture 10 psych and religion- the third eye: our intutitve function. De nition of intuition: knowing something without being able to explain how we know it. Guide to path of knowledge and truth not talked about with intuition, but with logic, deliberation. Logic is ceo of our personality; it"s our thinking function. For so much of what we do in our life, it"s not true that we"re relying on our rationality. Many important decisions never make it to the rational control tower of our personality. If our conscious rationality is ceo of decision making, we have to admit that much of our actual decision making take place several oors. Below the ceo"s desk below our ceo"s desk. Intuition happens behind the closed door of our unconscious. Inner voice/intuitive voice sometimes gets in the way of logical. Our reasons for picking a signi cant other resides behind the closed door, far more intuitive than rational and deliberative.
