Jesus lead a group of followers into jerusalem during passover. Pontius pilate fear of riots and violence. Pagan world had many men to woman. Christianity forbid this and overall gave women more rights. Woman saw higher conversion rates to christianity than men. Often woman converted to christianity and their husbands converted secondary. Christianity also saw woman marrying later than before.
