Invetigates felony sexual assaults involving victims 14 years of age and older. In 2014, the unit handled over 750+ investigations. On june 11, 2014 at approximately 1:12 am, victim #1 was walking home when she was punched in the back of the head and knocked down by an unknown male. During the struggle, the victim"s pants were pulled off. Male dna was found on her clothing however not enough was recovered to identify a suspect. The sex crimes unit was notified of this incident several days after it occurred.
