Course description: this course will present basic epidemiologic study designs, measures of morbidity and risk, and control of research biases and specific epidemiology disciplines. These concepts will be illustrated with various examples of epidemiologic research. Readings: gordis l, epidemiology, 5th ed. Specific chapters are outlined in the lecture schedule and correspond to specific lectures: selected articles or chapters from the epidemiologic literature as outlined and corresponding to the specific lectures in the schedule.
