Fowl plague is what we now know of as highly pathogenic avian influenza or hpai. Lpai: asymptomatic, respiratory, reproductive, usually low mortality, all subtypes, hpai, high death losses. Swollen waddles and combs: nervous signs, hemorrhages of legs. Lpai- respiratory tract, congestion and inflammation of the trachea and lungs.
