Inconsistent skills across different domains, e. g. nonverbal strengths. Sli- all or some of the characteristics in combination to each individual. Diagnosed after struggling with reading, writing, math, curriculum. Run in families (ask about family history) A large percentage have history of speech/language impairment in toddler/ preschool years. Dyslexia is a language disorder specific to language in print form.
