Before the iep is created, parents need to be notified and have to know their rights. If testing is done, parental consent must be done. If parent disagrees with the results of the test, they are able to get another private individual evaluation and sometimes the district will pay for it. Iep is revisited periodically and revised as appropriate. Should we treat special ed students like normal students: ex. Kid in school beat up kids and teachers, would normal be punished severely, but had autism how do you go about a punishment: can they be punished? b. i.
