First browser called mosaic: money poured in, stock prices surged. But companies valued users over pro t: early 2000s, collapse changed that, what went wrong, then right: google story. What went wrong: something was new. Thursday, november 1, 2018: but few knew what, old media model. Charge advertisers for the opportunity to show the message. Initial leaders used this approach: yahoo!, microsoft, etc. One company changed the game and saved the web: google: larry page and sergey brin met as stanford grad students in 1995.
