Atx boards are suitable for big gaming rigs that need a lot of room, whereas mini-itx is better for a compact, home theater system that"s going under the tv. A bus used to send data between components (highway system) Nonvolatile, often contains programs used to start computer. The bus of a motherboard allows communication between different components. The amount of data that can be moved on a bus depends on the bus width and speed. Think of this as the number of lanes on the highway and the speed-limit of the highway. Different parts of the highway system (bus) have different names.
