Most room details and make-up exam details will be same as last time, will post starting in. Transcription start site: transcription start point is where rna polymerase starts transcribing. This is not the same place as the translation start point. 5" utr: untranslated region near 5" e(cid:374)d of the (cid:373)rna. First se(cid:272)tio(cid:374) of the (cid:373)rna is the 5" utr. Aug sequence translation start point: start codon for where translation starts. Introns will get spliced out in the mature mrna: stops for translation, particular sequences that tell the ribosome to stop translating. 3" utr: untranslated region near the 3" end.
