Document Summary

The flow of genetic information in living systems goes from dna to rna to protein. To make a written copy, especially a typewritten copy, of (dictated material, notes taken during a lecture, or other spoken material) To turn from one language into another or from a foreign language into one"s own. Nucleotide monomers are joined into chains to make dna and rna polymers. Amino acid monomers are joined together in a chain to make a protein (also called polypeptide) Amino acids in proteins are connected by peptide bonds. The central dogma, showing how information flows from dna to rna to protein. Note the large number of cellular components required for translation. Ribosome (ribosomal rna+ribosomal proteins) trna: the actual translators that convert rna base sequence into protein amino acid sequence. Each enzyme bind to one uncharged trna. The enzyme also binds to the corresponding amino acid. There is a specific enzyme for each amino acid.
