Document Summary
Remodeling continuously through mechanical loadin, hormones, and calcium homeostasis. Progressive increase in load will increase mineral density. Stree freactures_ chronic injury, increade load of workout. Nerve cells are specialized and cannot regenerate once they died. Healing will occur if bodyu is intact and nucleus is present. Afferent sensory nerves, relay info to spinal cord and back. Nerve: whitish fiber or bundle of fibers that transmit impulses of sensation to brain or spinal cord, and impulses fromthese to the muscles and organs. Cartilage: flexible connective tissue in animals, including joints between bone, rib cage, ear, nose, bronchial tubes, intervertebral discs, it is not as hard and rigid as bone. It is stiffer and less flexible than muscle. Does not have capacity to adapt, does not heel well. Proteoglycans: absrob water, repel away from each other. Elastic- flexible, gives shape to structure, has elastin.
