Mutinies in french army--soldier refused to follow orders. In russia, no one was getting fed, even the soldiers. Intellectuals began to insist that the war had no meaning. Russian government collapsed (surprised it lasted as long as it did). Brit and french launcheda major attack. , so russia did one to for the eastern front. Army got further than what they can support. Goods had to travel further, and govt couldn"t do that. The duhma demanded reform but tsar nicholas ii refused.
