Natural selection - how individuals develop traits to survive in their environment. Need to change behaviors in order to adapt in that particular environment. Process of developing new species over time. Individuals develop certain characteristics and inhabit a new environment. Ethology - study of how individuals" biological make-up influences behavior. Evolutionary psychology - study of the origins of cognition, emotions, and social behavior.
