Adrenaline is released when you are emoionally atached. Even if memories are rated as emoionally charged, a beta-blocker - blocks adrenaline - will cancel out the memory enhancement. More amygdala acivity = beter memory o o. Trivial things are forgoten, more important (emoional) things are remembered in long term memory. Intact hippocampus is required to transfer declaraive short term memories to long term memory. Primacy efect: irst words on a word lists are easier to remember (long term memory) than words in the middle. Recency efect: last words on a word list are easier to remember (short term memory) than the words in the middle o. If asked to recall words right ater the test, the recency efect is strongest, but if there is a longer delay, the primacy efect is strongest. Memory trace: retrieving a memory - can be changed. Reconsolidaion: reinforcing a memory trace in long-term storage.
