Most people have 9k to 10k taste buds but they diminish after the age 45. Tasted substances are volatile and nonvolatile but must be in solution (usually saliva) to be tasted. Gustatory cells carry message to brain to be interpreted. Flavor a composite assessment of taste and odor in the mouth. Touch conveys texture, consistency, astringency, and temperature whether inside the mouth or through the fingers. Taste can be defined as primarily about the body: taste buds to the brain via gustatory cells. Flavor is a broader category and includes taste and aroma. Working long hours, with a resulting lack of ability to do other required daily tasks. Working long hours and thus a loss in the ability to pursue leisure time activities. Many americans have more money to spend but less time to spend it.
