Summer of 1967 was the summer of love, but a massive conflict broke out in the middle east as well, with massive consequences going to modern times. Israel emerged following wwii with the united nations voting to partition the former. British territory in 1947; jewish and muslim zones were established. In 1948 israel declared independence and arab armies invaded.
