Water- gives form to our cells, cools us, flushes wastes from our bodies, dissolves vital substances that we use and provides a solvent in which chemical reactions can occur. Macronutrients- big nutrients we need in large quantities carbs, fat, protein. Made of polymers-chains of sugar molecules that are. Protein- form muscle and connective tissue, bone and skin. May help prevent cancer, heart disease, and other chronic. Phytochemicals (plants)- the chemicals that have little effect on the body like flavor, aroma, texture diseases. I(cid:374) nut(cid:396)itio(cid:374) conducts on itself discovering the true relationship. Case studies- anecdotal evidence wrote in a journal. Case control studies- nutrition cases are matched with controls. Take long time, expensive, more time and effort, and compliance.
