Document Summary

There will then be discussion of the part of the cell which answers this problem, basically the role of this organelle. There will then be some discussion of how this organelle is constructed. For your study you may want to organize your notes in the same fashion. Cell membrane- the cellular envelope which is composed of phospholipids, fats, proteins and some carbohydrates. It follows the fluid mosaic model and has pores. Cell-wall- found in plant cells and is composed of primary layer which is mostly composed of overlapping layers of cellulose fibers. Older cells may develop a secondary cell wall which incorporates other compounds such as ligin( woody). Pectin, a polysaccharide may act as a cellular glue to hold cells together in some instances, by bonding the cell walls of adjacent cells. Cytoplasm- the internal cellular fluids and all of the cellular contents ( organelles) except for the nucleus.
