While the two are clearly linked, ecology is not simply an environmental study. Looks at deeper relationships of the organisms with regards to their environment. Biosphere the area in which organisms are found on earth. The biosphere is one single ecosystem where organisms interact with one another, their surroundings and the chemi- cal environment. The organisms with the greatest impact = humans! In the biosphere, there are several biomes - terrestrial ecosystem. There are also several aquatic life zones within the biosphere. Region characterized by its climate (temperature & rainfall) and the plants and animals that have adapted to the en- vironment. Temperatures normally between 20 degrees c to 35 c (68 degrees f to 95 degrees f) More than 200cm of rain per year (78in)
