Genre: is not just forum, but achieving a response (informal) genre definition: a certain way to address an audience; a set of expectations that someone is supposed to follow. Location- everything we read and listen to has a genre. There are so many forums of genres. Social media could even be considered a genre: facebook status, tweets, etc. Genres could be very different but under the same genre. There is a lot of variety within structure. Genre is one of the fundamentals of language. Speeches- state of union address, best man speeches, etc. The way the reader interprets the text depends on genre. Aesthetic (informal) sense of perceiving something: fiction/poetry. Taking away multiple meanings from symbols or messages. Inward: experiences; the stance little kids take" subjective.
