Since this is in the first sentence, i could tell that it was going to come back or foreshadow, maybe fate being involved (?) Husband dead safe to assume that she is going to be very upset. Chopin mentions that mrs. mallard did not take the new of her husband"s death as other women may have taken it. She wept, but soon went into her room not allowing company.
