Document Summary

Blood cells + tissue fluid intro: carbon dioxide is transported in 3 ways in in vertebrates, carbonic anhydrase catalyzes the chemical reaction in both directions. It takes c02 and makes carbonic acid: happens spontaneously, carbon is now in bicarbonate atom. Dissociation on the other hand of acid happens spontaneously: tissue fluid forms from the blood, the structure of mammalian blood vessels helps regulate blood flow, arteries have lots of smooth muscles. It is then used in tissues spaces, and is returned to the blood. Will go over it next time in class. In a closed circulatory system, can perfrentiate constrict and restrict blood cells to muscles. Veins have a little bit of smooth muscle because they can serve as revere of blood for cells. Capillaries is (cid:449)here e(cid:454)(cid:272)ha(cid:374)ge of (cid:374)utrie(cid:374)ts a(cid:374)d (cid:449)aste takes pla(cid:272)e (cid:271)ut do(cid:374)"t ha(cid:448)e (cid:272)apillar(cid:455) for each cell. Between capillaries and cells= interstitial fluid/ tissue fluid. Capillaries helps maintain/ site of formation of tissue fluid.
