Interactions: sexual history entangled with social hierarchies, economic, racial, class, gender, these all seem to influence and shape our understanding of cultural, historical struggles for power, wealth, status used sexuality for gain evaluation, sexual bheaviours, sexual restraints. Power and sexuality: sexuality has often been a target for social control for marginalized groups, legal systems organized themselves around young womens sexuality. There was a law in the past against women walking in late at night. Families and states were working in alignment to control women, and keeping them from falling in this gender dispute. There are a whole set of practices of sterilizaiton where people are deemed unfit in several ways. It is looking at the case of missing and murdered indigenous women: national film board of canada, food for thought.
