Document Summary
Intersex infants 1 in two thousands babies are born as between male and half female. It could be medical diagnosis, illness, differences, etc. this in fact do not match the biological criteria of male or female. We understand bodies to expressing maleness through 3 characteristics: genital, no other female characteristic, after puberty hits facial hair as they grow hair in areas females do not. Chromosomes females have xx and males have xy not everyone"s chromosomes are completely xx and xy. Sometimes you get the xy chromosome but you don"t get the penis: doctors and parents will try to fix intersex gender, as soon as the baby is born. They will try to surgically reconstruct, to look more male which is difficult to do as it is easier to cut back, then add on. If you can"t live up to maleness (having a small penis), then we will just make you a woman.
