MPC 101 Lecture Notes - Lecture 2: Brainstorming, List Of Fables Characters
Document Summary
How to utilize brainstorming to overcome writer"s block. The following instructions are intended for writers or students with limited or no previous experience with brainstorming processes. Users will create a brainstorming map, which involves a central subject and related ideas that branch out from the main subject. Contrary to similar guidelines that require identifying a problem and solution, this set of instructions is geared towards idea generation when experiencing writer"s block. Many students use brainstorming processes in the face of writer"s block to inspire creativity, produce an idea, and gather knowledge on a subject. This process will take an experienced writer ten minutes. For the average student, the process will range from fifteen to twenty minutes. Before you begin, you will need the following materials: pencil, paper, computer or other typology equipment. A writer should make it a habit to write every day. Pushing through writer"s block works by disciplining yourself to write on a regular schedule.
