POLI 360 Lecture 3: Military Power
Document Summary
Military power are contacting collectif chec la guerre in hopes that you may be able to donate 100-200 poppies or however many possible to our campaign. We are an extremely low budget organization, and we would appreciate any support you might be able to offer us. Military power capability to kill to coerce and destroy power to hurt, inflict pain, and inflict grief. Economic depth buying better weapons, spending more on military troops, Moral, leadership tactics, stay power (starting a war is easy, existing it is hard) Defensive - ability of the military to ward off attacks ; minimize damages, never first strikes. Offensive - ability to engage in first strike with the expectation they can make the other country give up; advancing/ conquering. Deterrence - display of military power to prevent an adversary from doing something unwanted with the threat of something unthinkable. Compellent deployment of military force to compel someone to do something they haven"t done.
