Aquatic ecosystems are composed mainly of water and the biodiversity of flora and fauna and other organisms that are in said environment. Its main characteristic are the following: they provide the living space to an unimaginable number of species both that can only live in water and those that inhabit both water and land or sky. They are one of the richest ecosystem in the world as they have a great biodiversity, its flora are made up of algae and aquatic plants. Aquatic species like fish are the most numerous and diverse group of vertebrates. They represent about 50 % of the living vertebrates, birds are 21%, reptiles are 14%, mammals are 11. % and amphibians are 6% only of the total living vertebrates. As of today there are 34300 valid fish species distributed in 62 orders and 515 families according to fish base. About 71 percent of earth surface is water.
