Let your moral compass be the catalyst to great leadership. This moral compass is what helps a leader make the best decision possible. This type of decision-making process is impossible to teach. It can be enhanced through time as a result of experience, but the foundation of this thought process must originate from a deep portion of the leader. Ronald heifetz was a psychiatrist who developed a distinct viewpoint on ethical leadership based on his observations and study of world leaders. "his approach focuses on how leaders assist followers in confronting and resolving conflict by enacting changes. Heifetz"s approach is related to ethical leadership because it deals with workers" values as well as the values of the organizations and communities in which they work" (northouse, 2016). As a leader, i believe this viewpoint is accurate. This road of moral decisions is what keeps you going during any difficult or challenging time.
