Volunteering abroad is a popular way for people to expand their horizons and learn more not only about themselves and global issues but also a can to explore countries and communities around the world. It is worthy to note that your time commitment for different placements can vary widely. Some people may decide to spend a week and other may commit to a few years: have free time, this is one of the added bonuses of doing a placement abroad! You not only get to help out, but you also get to be a tourist in the region. International service-learning is a structured academic experience in another country where students participate in activities that address previously established community needs. Summer 2021: allows you to develop intercultural and global competencies along with cultural self- awareness, learning a new language, building skills - confidence, self-worth, resilience and adaptability.
