SOC150H1 Lecture : SOC150_ Final Review University of Toronto notes
Document Summary
The course information we"ve covered this term is vast. You can organize the course information into 2 broad areas. One way to help organize and differentiate these areas is to think about how they fit into the broader research process (lecture 4) Think carefully about both the sequence and the relative weight of the components. Course material from these areas summarizes the ideas, theory, and design of sociological inquiry and research. In a great deal of sociological research, theses considerations are taken for granted. For example, it is uncommon for a researcher to step back and examine basic assumptions about the nature of knowledge (epistemology) or to question the significance of culture"s imposition on nature. However, for the purposes of this class, we spent a great deal of time examining and critically evaluating these assumptions (we do not want to take them for granted)
