This has led to development of a border criminology (bosworth, 2019), bordered penalty (aas, 2014), crimmigration (stumpf 2006), and the criminology of mobility (pickering et al, 2015) Mutability of detention systems across the world the multiple practices and techniques. Cultural, political, social & historical legacies have a significant impact on the way that contemporary practices are configured. Detention of migrants is usually for the purpose of identifying persons and determining nationalities, preventing persons from gaining unauthorized entry, and expelling or ensuring the enforcement of a deportation order .
