Classical theory- a traditional theory which pays more attention on organization instead of individuals working therein. Ideas presented by these theorist around 19th century to early 20th century. Sociologists today sees it as a foundation texts in today"s century. Their work constitutes the canon (i. e. the body of conceptual knowledge) where they are expected to know. Classical theory has referenced to the ork of the 3 white men. The classical theory has been used to describe the work of previously overlooked classical theorists: Several early women sociologists started to develop feminist theory. In same time frame, the african-american sociologist, w. e. b. Du bois began to develop theoretical ideas about race relations and racial inequality. Have made important contributions however due to their race and gender, they were long marginalized in the history of sociology. The work of these thinkers have been recognized in the late 20th century (gender and race )
