The effects of stress on us can be immediate (i. e. sweat) or delayed (i. e. Stress: any circumstances that threaten or are perceived to threaten one"s well-being and that thereby tax one"s coping abilities: stress as an everyday event, routine hassles may have significant harmful effects on mental and physical health. Stress adds up (routine stresses at home, at school, and at work might be fairly benign individually, but collectively they could create great strain: appraisal: stress lies in the eye of the beholder. The experience of feeling stressed depends on what events one notices and how one chooses to appraise or interpret them (very subjective) Frustration is experienced whenever the pursuit of some goal is thwarted: frustration, when you want something, but can"t have it, mostly daily, brief and insignificant. Conflict: occurs when two or more incompatible motivations or behavioural impulses compete for expression.
