7. With a partner, discuss how you would use your respective poetic forms to write about a childhood memory. Spend a few minutes brainstorming ideas for an original poem using either of the forms. As you brainstorm ideos, consider the purpose of your poem:

Will it tell a story, teach a lesson, or focus on a single image, such as a scene from nature?
Will the tone be playful, melancholy, or reflective?

After brainstorming, write down any interesting words of images you may want to incorporate into your poem.
