Atonic: 4-12 years, loss of muscle tone. Myoclonic: brief muscle contractions, no post-ictal state, symmetrical, management, medications. Monitor drug levels, increase as child grows, monitor side effects, must be weaned cannot abruptly dc: ketogenic diet- ketones inhibit seizure activity. High fat, low protein, low carbs, no simple sugars: vagal nerve stimulation.
