In barley there are two genes that determine seed color. The twogenes assort independently. Two black-seeded plants are crossed.Both parents are known to be heterozygous for both genes. The crossproduces the following offspring ( TOTAL = 1120): 72 White seededplants, 212 grey seeded plants, and 836 Black seeded plants.
