Sometimes, conservation biologists believe they do not need to take into account the possibility of evolutionary change in the organisms that they are interested in conserving. The argument is that anthropogenic (human induced) changes such as invasive species, habitat loss, pollution, and even climate change, occur on too rapid a timescale for evolutionary change to influence the organisms they are trying to manage.

Discuss whether you think this argument is correct, or if you think evolutionary biology relevant for conservation biology? Find an example or two to support your argument.
