Although science has shown that there are no biological races in humans today, race still continues to be a strong factor in how people think about and understand human difference. Why do you think this is the case? Has your understanding of race changed during your lifetime? How and why? What do you think the future of racial classification is -- is it becoming more or less important? Can socially constructed concepts of race ever been truly detached from notions of biological distinction?
