DNA has telomeres attached at the end of the chromosomes to prevent chromosomal shortening during phases of development. Now, when mRNA is created via transcription of DNA, it also adds noncoding sequences to the 5 prime and 3 prime end. However, nowhere is it mentioned what these sequences are. Are these telomeres? Does mRNA also transcribe telomeres? Are these micro-RNA? What are these non-coding sequences on mRNA ends used for? Are they like Telomoeres?
