if you are a zookeeper charged with distributing additional animals in your institution to other zoos, how do you manage requests for the very popular white alligators you produce? some institution may have to get heterozygotes as you do not have enough white ones to go around.
if you produce your white offspring by mating a two heterozygous individuals, you have lot of normal looking animals to distribute.
a) what are the possible genotypes of these wild-type alligator babies you have?
b) explain how you could determine the genotype of these normal individuals?
