Just need help with c and d. I already ansered part a and b but I put the questions here as a reference for part c and d.
a) What class of receptors respond to fMLP?
b) Downstream of the activated receptor, PI3Kinase activates Ras and converts PIP2 ro PIP3 5o activate Rac. What kind of biomolecules are these five components?
c) Downstream of these activating signals, two later events occur: transcription is activated by EIk1, and actin reorganization. What kinds of signaling molecules/events lead to each of these, and are they downstream of Rac or Ras? Which event happens faster?
d) Pertussis toxin, known as the causative agent in the illness whooping cough, blocks the activation of G뱉 subunits. How would you expect the addition of this toxin to affect a migrating neutrophil, for example, in a culture dish along with bacteria producing fMLP?
