How do you do the stochiometry for this multistep synthesis?? Thank you!
Procedure 1) After having your synthetic scheme approved by your lab instructor, obtain your "free" grams of yor requested starting material, which will contain approximately 1 gram of the compound(s). Additional grams of starting material can be "bought" at a "price" of two points on your write-up sheet 2) Carry out the necessary reactions to prepare your target molecule. 3) Since each target molecule will require at least two steps to prepare, you may wish to verify the ider of the product of your first step by melting point before proceeding on with the second step of your synthesis. 4) Obtain a melting point of your final product, as well as literature melting point data for the same compound. Submit this information as part of your write-up sheet. Safety Considerations /Waste Disposal: See individual Safety Considerations / Waste Disposal sections on each experimental procedure Place your final product in the bottle labeled, "Products from Multi-Step Synthesis Experiment." Before leaving lab: Clean up the area around your lab station (wipe up any spills, etc.). o H 62 aceh borounde 0 aid uses 127 Show transcribed image text
