This figure shows a unit cellof fluorite CaF2, arrangement of calcium ions containing fluorideions in all tetrahedral holes. What is the coordination number ofcalcium?
The answer is 8 but I don't understand how to get it. Thecoordination number of F seems like (8*1/8)+(6*1/2)=4.
