I'm doing a retrosynthetic disconnection of the molecule on the right using only styrene as a carbon source. I can make the reagents, but I am stuck on this last step. I'm hoping that the Grignard reagent adds to the less substituted carbon on the alkene, but I'm worried it will react with the carbonyl. Is there anything I can do to make the Grignard add where I want it, or does it already?
Mg- Br H.C
