The enthalpy chnges for the following reactions are known.

CH4(g) + 2 O2(g) --> CO2(g) + 2 H2O(g) ?rH = -802.4kj/mol-rxn

CH3OH(g) + 3/2 O2(g) --> CO2(g) + 2 H2O(g) ?rH = -676kj/mol-rxn

Use Hess Law and the above information to evaluate the enthalpychange of the following reaction (please show work in detail)

CH4(g) + 1/2 O2(g) --> CH3OH(g)
