Question

Hi everybody! I have a question about english. I know i submitted this for chemistry but i figured since we have to write papers in chemistry this might be ppropriate to do so. My professor wants me to do a proposal regarding my research topic. I don't understand what a proposal is and I've researched many examples and samples of one, but the definitions just don't make sense to me. My research topic is "Are there hidden life lessons within the game of golf?" I would really appreciate some help with this!! Thank you to anyone and everyone!!!!!
